hey, it's better than drugs...

Well, if you're wondering about the title, let me explain... see, everything I watch these days is on Tivo. I don't watch anything live. It drives me crazy to watch commericals when I don't have to! So, even if I'm here during the show, I'll do something else for a little bit until I can start the show and just run through all the commercials. Sad, I know, but it's an addiction.

But, my addiction is slowly taking over other areas of my life. One of my favorite things about Tivo is that no matter what I'm watching, I can pause and rewind it any time I want. Yes, I am in control. Unfortunately, though, I am only in control of my TV. When I missed info on the radio yesterday, I for a split second thought to rewind it. But, XM sadly is not Tivo. And, when both George and I missed something on TV this weekend at the Inn, I immediately wanted to rewind it and get the full story. But, again, no Tivo.

But, the worst had to have been later Saturday night, when I handled a conversation horribly. For a minute, yes, it crossed my mind that there were no problems-- I would just Tivo it and try the convo again. And of course, there is no such thing as Tivo for life.

But, I think there should be. Because I've decided-- life is way too complicated to not get do overs.

Anyway, overall I had a fabulous and relaxing weekend in the Outer Banks. sooo nice to get away. But, unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. so, back to work tomorrow...

I adore my TIVO. We had an Oscar Party last weekend and a friend who has a HUGE tv with everything came to our party. We had watched Big Ben crush the Seahawks on that tv, but now they come here and are totally impressed with our TIVO. They love it! They wish they had it, and here I thought they had it all. Tomorrow they'll come back over, and I am sure they will want to pause, rewind, fast forward, pause, rewind...
