weekend recap
So, another weekend over, and now two more days of nothingness... Actually, as I typed that I remembered tomorrow I have to go to work almost all day (suck!), so that's not really true. Okay anyway-- well, Sonja was visiting til a few hours ago! Yay! I absolutely love seeing her. She was the responsible working girl years before I ever even thought about it, so it's funny to hang out now. And with her married and talking kids, it's such a different dynamic than when we were rooming together sophomore (her senior) year. But, it will always be fun to reminisce about GCC, the Okies, and broken intervis rules :) Hope was supposed to come too, but unfortunately because of her pregnancy (yay!!!), all the driving would have been way too much for her. But, very fun anyway. We checked out the new Cheesecake Factory on Saturday night and then went to fireworks on the beach with Trina and Bobby, and yesterday we spent the whole day at the Oceanfront for Neptune Festival. I put up some pics just for fun of the sand scupting competition, which was really neat, and a random one of my mom from a few weekends ago that I just think is really cute. :) Didn't take many other pics, but the festival itself was really cool: surfing, art show, volleyball, live music all day, good food, fantastic weather, and the plane stunts overhead from the airshow a few miles away made it a great day. I am also putting up some old pics from GCC of everyone I'm shouting out today-- Sonja and I in one and the girls in the second-- all from about 4 years ago... enjoy! :)
So, I have decided that summer definitely cannot be over if I spent all of yesterday in the waves and lying on the beach, and I have the sunburn to prove it! :) Sometimes I sit back and remember that I LIVE at the beach, and then I decide that I'm the luckiest SOB on earth. Who knows how long I'll be here though, so I figure I should enjoy it while I am! I did concede a little bit to fall this weekend, though, and bought a big pumpkin spice candle. hehehe. This was my last real weekend of plans for awhile though (for the first time since May!), so I'm thinking now summer may really be over. But, until I find my cold weather snuggle boy(or at least it gets cold enough that I have to wear PJ's to bed), I will still refuse to admit it! :)
In other news, I would like to shout out to my 3-0 EAGLES, who TROUNCED Detroit yesterday (sorry Kate! hehehe). I am also a little scared of the hurricane coming, so everyone please keep me posted if you hear any news on if it's going to hit here and what kind of storm it will hit as. And lastly, I would like to send a HUGE shoutout to AL, who moved into her apartment this weekend!!!!!!! Best wishes on decorating, bill paying, and hopefully many sleepovers to come! ;)
Ok well enough rambling for now-- I'm off to tkd in a few hours so I'll catch you all later...

You do realize that beating Detroit isn't the biggest achievement ever, don't you Lis? How far along is Sonja's pregnancy? That's so crazy that she's going to have a baby; didn't she just get married?? Glad you had a good weekend, babe.
